The Coppi-Bartali dichotomy captured in black and white photography, became a powerful social contribution for athletic excellence, regardless of political or religious alignment.
Both cyclists were Breitling ambassadors during their heyday, when the watchmaker served as official timekeeper for cycling’s most prestigious races.
New chronographs as a love letter to Coppi and Bartali
In honoring these cycling champions, Breitling has designed two limited edition timepieces after each of them. The best fake Breitling Top Time B01 Fausto Coppi watches feature eye-catching turquoise subdials set against a crisp white background, with an orange lightning-shaped chronograph hand that echoes the colors of Coppi’s beloved bike. The Top Time collection was introduced in the 1960s by Willy Breitling as a stylish line of racing chronographs. These new 41mm high quality copy watches run on Breitling’s in-house Manufacture Caliber 01, delivering COSC-certified precision and approximately 70 hours of power reserve. The distinctive “squircle” subdials at 9 and 3 o’clock track running seconds and chronograph minutes.
Coppi earned the nickname “Il Campionissimo” (Champion of Champions) for his unprecedented versatility in cycling, winning five Giro d’Italia titles, two Tour de France victories, and a World Championship. Bartali on the other hand, won the Tour de France twice (1938, 1948) and the Giro d’Italia three times. Though fiercely competitive, it’s reported that his quiet humility earned him the nickname “L’Intramontabile” (The Timeless).
